Restore a MySQL Database
- In the Backup section of cPanel, scroll to Restore a MySQL Database
- Click Choose File and upload your .sql.gz backup
- Click Upload and cPanel will restore the database
Option 2: Restore Using the Backup Wizard
- Log into cPanel
- Click on Backup Wizard under the Files section
- Choose Restore
- Select what you want to restore:
- Home Directory
- MySQL Databases
- Email Forwarders & Filters
Upload the corresponding backup file and follow the prompts
Notes & Best Practices:
- Make sure your backup file is recent and complete
- Always create a new backup before restoring, in case something goes wrong
- Large restores might take time — be patient or contact support if needed
