Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you set up Outlook 2007 to check your email using your Hosting Chilli email account.

Step 1: Open Outlook 2007

  • Launch Microsoft Outlook 2007 on your computer.

Step 2: Start the Email Setup Wizard

  • Go to Tools > Account Settings
  • Under the Email tab, click New... to add a new email account

Step 3: Choose Email Service

  • Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, then click Next

Step 4: Manual Setup

  • Check the box: Manually configure server settings or additional server types
  • Click Next

Step 5: Choose Email Service

  • Select Internet Email, then click Next

Step 6: Fill in Your Email Settings

Your Name: Your full name
Email Address: yourname@yourdomain.com
Account Type: IMAP or POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: (SMTP) mail.yourdomain.com
Username: yourname@yourdomain.com
Password: Your email password

 

Tip: Check Remember Password

 

Step 7: More Settings

Click the More Settings button, then:

Under Outgoing Server tab:

  • Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  • Choose Use same settings as my incoming mail server

Under Advanced tab:

IMAP
Incoming port: 993 (SSL) or 143 (non-SSL)
Outgoing port (SMTP): 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)

POP3
Incoming port: 995 (SSL) or 110 (non-SSL)
Outgoing port (SMTP): Port 25 and 587

Select SSL or TLS if using secure ports

Click OK to save changes.

Step 8: Test Settings

  • Click Next and Outlook will test your account settings.
  • If the test is successful, click Finish

 

You’re done! Outlook 2007 is now configured to check your Hosting Chilli email account.
